ZOE stands as an exceptional cruise personal assistant, a collaborative creation between MSC and Harman Kardon, thoughtfully placed in every cabin. Much akin to the well-known digital assistants like Alexa or Siri, ZOE is at your service, ready to provide you with essential information or assist you in making reservations at the ship's restaurant. In my capacity, I was tasked with the creation of the device's system sounds, including the startup and shutdown tones, Bluetooth connection signals, Wi-Fi activation and deactivation cues, volume adjustments, and more. The accompanying images have been sourced from the official website, capturing the essence of this remarkable project.

Typically, my clients come equipped with their own set of ideas and branding guidelines. However, ZOE presented a unique opportunity where creative autonomy was entrusted to me. For the auditory identity of this brand, I envisioned a tropical-inspired soundscape that would seamlessly complement the cruise experience. The goal was to craft sounds that were concise, warm, exuberant, and yet easy on the ears, ensuring they remained far from being intrusive or grating. The proposal I put forth was met with approval, and to this day, I take immense satisfaction in how these sounds have turned out—precisely in line with my original vision. I fervently hope that ZOE is equally content with them!
